TimeWarriors
Time travel is as every day in games as bread is in sandwiches, but sometimes the process is a bit slower, like in TimeWarriors. You are the overseer of a group of people starting their civilization during the dawn of man. As fate would have it, they find themselves starting across from another civilization who aren't too happy to share the same land. With communications having broken down, you have no choice but to march against them to protect your people from their attacks. Only by working hard and evolving can you hope to rise above it all and carve out a future.
About TimeWarriors
There are plenty of examples where you see people evolve as they continue to go through the same actions repeatedly. In this game, your people are constantly fighting and trying to get ahead of their enemy. Since both you and the enemy start out on the same level, you both have equal opportunities to fight and grow, but you can't allow yourself to fall behind. Every time the enemy pushes you back, you have no choice but to try another assault, maybe with different timing and preparation. Although, throwing yourself at the problem will yield its own results.
How to Play
TimeWarriors is a 2D arcade strategy game about trying to defeat the opposing humans using only the mouse. To interact with the UI elements, move to them with the cursor and click the Left Mouse Button. Your civilization will produce food over time, and you must decide which units to feed. The goal is to defeat the enemy by sending your units to destroy their base. If the enemy units reach your base and bring their health to zero, they'll be destroyed, and you'll need to rebuild.
The main menu is where you can improve your civilization using any gold and gems you've collected from battle and completing tasks. You can use them to improve the strength of your units, buy more units, increase food production, or your base's health. Gems can be used to get cards to unlock elements, giving passive bonuses to your troops. When you're ready, you can hit the Battle button and begin. The enemy will gradually produce and send units to your base, whereas you can decide when to summon units. Each unit costs a certain amount of food, and you must wait until you've produced enough to summon one. Units will advance and will automatically attack the first enemy that comes in range. Once they reach the enemy base, they'll start attacking, and if they bring it down, you'll win the fight. With each base destroyed, your civilization will evolve, getting stronger and resetting your stats.
Tips and Tricks
The most essential upgrade you need to spend your gold on is food production, which always starts painfully slow. The more food you can produce, the longer you can wait to build up reserves and summon a full force to steamroll the enemy. Even if your units don't push through, they'll still earn you coins and buy you time to produce more food.
