But he's not alone as other characters from the Sonic series are here to show off their running skills as well. Just how fast can you make it through the obstacle course?
About Kogama: Sonic Dash 2
The Kogama games have a sharp polygonal style that makes them look like toys which might be why they fight as gaming titles. This game applies the Kogama model to Sonic and his friends while having them race through various obstacle courses. A lot of elements are taken from the Sonic games but the rules have been changed to those of Kogama. It can take a bit of getting used to, but once you do, you may find yourself exploring the courses in full to find the best ways while trying to see all that there is to see in them.
How to Play
Kogama: Sonic Dash 2 is a 3D running game focused on navigating obstacle courses using the mouse and keyboard.
Controls
- Cursor - Look/Turn
- W/Up Arrow - Move Forward
- S/Down Arrow - Move Backward
- A/Left Arrow - Move Left
- D/Right Arrow - Move Right
- Spacebar – Jump
The goal is to get to the end of the obstacle course as quickly as possible. Your character will have a health bar shown in the top left corner. If it runs out, you'll be eliminated from the course. You can choose your character before starting and check the different stats affecting speed, jumping, friction, Parkour, and health.
After you pick your character, you'll be dropped into a lobby where you can look at the various options. To start the game, move to the glowing sign that says "Run". After a few moments, you'll be dropped at the start of the course and can start moving. While running, you'll encounter obstacles and traps that will slow you down. The rings that are common to Sonic are not collectibles, being solid and usable as platforms. There will also be times when the path will split with signs showing what to expect down each one. The run ends when someone reaches the flag at the end of the course.
Tips and Tricks
If you're unfamiliar with a Kogama game, spend some time in the lobby to get a feel for the movement. Always remember that the mouse changes both your view and position, so don't get disoriented by it. The rings are there as a distraction and should only be used to get over obstacles or surpass an opponent.
