About Idle Zoo Tycoon
Tycoon games are nothing new and idle games populate the gaming market like suds in a dishwasher so it makes sense to combine the two. This game takes the main aspects of both of those genres and compresses them into a smaller easier to easier-to-manage form. It does require input from you to change things around and make progress to being a tycoon, but it also has the other major element of working to earn money while you're not doing anything. As such, this casual game will do a lot of the heavy lifting when you're not physically there to hold it up yourself.
How to Play
Idle Zoo Tycoon is a 3D isometric management game about running a zoo using the mouse. You can interact with the different assets and UI elements by sliding the cursor over to them and clicking the Left Mouse Button. The goal of any tycoon is to earn money and then use said money to improve your business so that you can earn more money to improve your business even more. The game ends when you decide that it does.
The game begins by introducing you to your fledgling zoo. It doesn't have much going for it, but it is operational and it does have some animals. To become successful, you need to upgrade the three main parts of your zoo: The parking, the ticket booth, and the animal enclosures. Parking determines how many cars and visitors can arrive at the zoo. The ticket booths determine entry prices and how quickly people get into the zoo. Animal enclosures determine how much profit you generate and what kind of animals you can support. To upgrade these elements, click on them and then choose the aspect you want to improve. Upgrades will result in greater attendance, speed, and profit.
By upgrading the first aspect of each element, you can cause it to level up. This will earn you stars which can be used to unlock other facilities and new animals. The profit you earn as time passes and the amount you currently have are displayed at the top of the screen. Keep earning and spending until you've fully expanded your zoo.
Tips and Tricks
Normally a tycoon game would have you micromanaging everything, but this is an idle game. All of the activities are automated so the best thing to do is just spend as much as you have on upgrades, step away for a bit, and then come back later to reap the rewards.
