Scopa is a classic card game that’s one of the most popular in Italy, as well as parts of South America, too. The rules are straightforward: four cards are dealt face up in the middle of the table, then each player gets three more. Players take turns to put down a single card, and pick up cards from the middle of the table of equivalent value. The player who picks up the most wins a trick. Once every player has spent all the cards in their hands, the round is over. Play continues until there are no more cards in the deck!
