Robo-Butcher
Robots are all over the gaming world and will be fighting for you, against you, and sometimes are you like in Robo-Butcher. Okay, so this robot isn't exactly you, but you are playing as it. The situation is taking place at some part in the future where robots are commonplace and made to fight for the entertainment of people and possibly other robots. You are a fighting robot who is competing and you're driven by the desire to be the strongest by destroying the other robots. It's a long road paved with a lot of scrap metal, but that's the other way out of this.
About Robo-Butcher
When robots fight robots, it's a "safe for viewing" spectacle since it's just pieces of metal, electricity, and sometimes fuel flying around. This game shows you robots that look more like machines and cartoon characters, but your robot is more humanoid. This gives it an advantage when it comes to moving and firing, but it's still outnumbered. There are only so many places that you can go before the other robots overwhelm you. It'll be difficult to come out of this unscathed which is why you have to make the most of where you can go and what you can access.
How to Play
Robo-Butcher is a 2D platform-arena game about a robot fighting against waves of other robots using the mouse and keyboard.
Controls
- Cursor - Aim
- Left Mouse Button - Fire
- Right Mouse Button - Dash
- W/Up Arrow/Spacebar - Jump (Booster)
- S/Down Arrow - Drop
- A/Left Arrow - Move Left
- D/Right Arrow - Move Right
The goal is to keep fighting the robots for as long as you can and to get stronger. Your health will be shown in the top left corner of the screen. When your health drops to zero, your fight ends and you'll need to start over.
Before you enter the arena, there's a chance to visit the shop and upgrade your robot. By using money gained from fighting, you can upgrade the robot to have more health and take more damage. Once you're ready, you can jump into the arena and start fighting. Robots will spawn in from random portals and will move around wildly, sometimes being able to move between the platforms. By firing your weapon, you can hit and destroy enemy robots which will give you money. Some crates will appear and when broken, they'll give you a random power-up to your robot which will wear off after some time.
Tips and Tricks
The thing to keep in mind is the sorts of enemies that you're currently fighting. The ones that can move between platforms take priority and those that group together can be picked off later. Keep moving and boost to avoid getting sandwiched between two groups of enemies while saving crates for a rainy day.
