You are in command of a squad of cats that happen to be ninjas and heroes too. You all find yourselves in a mysterious magical realm that is rife with demons and other mystical entities. But the cats have prepared for this and their ninja weapons are effective at taking them down. The problem is that they're still in enemy territory and they need to be cautious if they're hoping to escape with all the fish that they can carry.
About Ninja Hero Cats
Ninjas can be anyone and anything if movies, shows, comics, and video games have anything to say about them. This game says that cats are ninjas and arms them to be just that. You need to look after your cats and they depend on your guidance to keep them safe while at the same time, you need to have them close enough to deal damage to the enemies around. Your cats are highly vulnerable and sadly don't have the nine lives that you'd expect them to have. It's on you to herd them around effectively and make the most of their abilities.
How to Play
Ninja Hero Cats is a 2D top-down action-adventure game about a squad of ninja cats slaying demons with the mouse. To move the cats around, hold down the Left Mouse Button on the screen and drag around the cursor to move the cats. The cats will automatically attack any enemies that come into range. The goal is to reach the end of each area, slay demons, and escape through the portal. Each cat's health will be displayed below them and if you lose all your cats, you'll need to retry.
You'll start on the left side of one realm with enemies wandering around randomly. Enemies can hurt your cats with contact or projectiles that they'll need to avoid. Your cats will attack with throwing stars at a distance and swords when they get up close. When slain, enemies will drop fish with can used to buy upgrades and moves for the cats to use. You can also find chests and crystals to open for additional rewards. Defeat the strongest demons to open the portal and escape to the next realm.
Tips and Tricks
Since you're controlling a group of units, you're a much bigger target which means you need to be very wary of surrounding enemies. Projectiles can spawn and travel quite quickly so move or dash away, and your swords should not be used unless necessary. If you lose a cat, look for chests and such that can hold hearts to heal and revive your cat.
