Line of Fate
Line of Fate is both a game and an activity that requires you to draw so that you can solve puzzles. Rather than drawing pictures or writing letters and symbols, your main job is to draw a line. The line can take on various forms and be as long or as complex as you wish, so long as the line is continuous. The line must be drawn to protect the person in the puzzle from various dangers. You only get one chance to draw a single line that will solve the puzzle. You'll succeed if you can use a line to keep the person safe.
About Line of Fate
Drawing can be complex when using mouse and touch controls, but this mechanic is simplified by limiting you to lines. You can keep drawing long and more complicated shapes by holding down the right button and moving. However, this isn't an artistic challenge, it's a problem that needs to be solved with a single line in the right place. You must also remember that the line will be affected by physics and other objects in each puzzle, which can work against you if the line isn't placed correctly. Experiment with the properties of the lines to learn how they behave and better approach the puzzles.
How to Play
Line of Fate is a 2.5D puzzle game about saving people's lives by drawing lines using only the mouse. Hold the Left Mouse Button and drag the cursor across the screen to draw a line. When you release the button, the line will be completed. The goal is to draw lines that will keep people safe from the current danger they face. You'll have to try again if the line fails to protect them until the threat has passed.
The main menu overlays over the current situation and gives you the chance to change the appearance of your line by unlocking new options. When you have your line picked out, you can start drawing. The person you must protect will usually be situated at the center of the screen or may be the only person in the scene. You can draw a line that can block out dangerous elements like projectiles and hostile creatures. However, the line can be pushed or dropped onto the person and accidentally harm them. The line becomes physical once drawn and will be susceptible to physics, interacting with other objects like blocks and platforms. After the line is drawn, a countdown will begin. If the line protects the person to the end of the countdown, you'll succeed and can continue.
Tips and Tricks
This is a puzzle about drawing lines in specific ways so that they use the environment to their advantage. How the objects are arranged can be a clue as to how to draw the line to make it effective. Attaching the line to surfaces to act like a dome or shelter to offer stable protection is also possible.
