Building a bridge is hard enough, but building one while also being hunted seems unfair. That's what you've signed up for in Hide and Build a Bridge! You may or may not be part of a colorful bridge company or a contractor trying to make their mark, but you've been given some tricky circumstances. The bridge to the next area is out, and you need to be able to build it using whatever materials you can find while under pressure. Someone is out hunting you to stop your building efforts, but you need to get over it, and the best way to do that is by building a bridge.

About Hide and Build a Bridge!

You can play games where you run a bridge company, and you need to manage everything so that the bridges get built correctly. This game is more about just making a bridge solid and fast so that you can prove your skills by escaping. It's a bit like Hide And Seek, except you're not just trying to avoid being found; you're having to gather materials and build a bridge to the only exit. Being fast on your feet is just as important as being fast with your hands since the hunter will have ways to track you… keep that in mind when you're on the other side.

How to Play

Hide and Build a Bridge! Is a 3D isometric competitive game about trying to build a bridge without getting caught or trying to catch builders with the keyboard.

Controls

W/Up Arrow - Move Up
S/Down Arrow - Move Down
A/Left Arrow - Move Left
D/Right Arrow - Move Right

The goal is to build a bridge and escape or to catch all the builders. The only counter is the coin counter, shown in the top right corner of the screen. At the top, there's also the Capture Meter, which indicates how many builders have been caught. The game ends when all the builders are caught and/or escape.

The main menu allows you to customize your character by giving them a new skin, some of which can be unlocked with coins. After that, you can choose to jump into a level and have the choice to Hide or Seek. If you're hiding, you must run around the area and avoid the seeker's field of vision. While running, you can collect boards (or other resources, depending on the level theme) and then take them to the bridge to lay them down and build. You can also find coins scattered around the arena to collect. If the Seeker sees you, you'll become trapped in a cage, but if you make it to the exit, you'll win.

If you're seeking, you need to catch all the builders. You won't get a large map view, and the hiders will be invisible until you spot them. You can track the hiders by looking for footprints on the ground or watching interactions with the map. Spotting a hider will capture them, and once you catch them all, you'll win.

Tips and Tricks

Being a hider or a seeker will have you playing and thinking differently. As the hider, collect as many resources as you can, then wait for the seeker to be far enough so that you can lay them all down at once. As the seeker, periodically sweep the building area for hiders and watch footprint patterns to catch common routes.
