Those brave enough to delve into dungeons may do so for various reasons, but treasure is the most common, as seen in Dungeon Dodge. You are an adventurer who has been tasked to take on the endurance challenge of a nearby dungeon. You've heard that those who make it through the dungeon's traps will receive great riches in return. While this certainly will add to your wealth, you have another reason for gathering that treasure: The village. Your local village has fallen on hard times and could really use some to help with repair costs, so go forth and dodge those dungeons, hero!
About Dungeon Dodge
You never know what to expect when you enter a dungeon, but monsters and traps are usually waiting to greet you. In this game, the dungeon is wielding magic against any hero that dares enter. You can't rely on your usual mess of skills to power through beasts or disarm traps; you simply need to be agile. Of course, the magic is constant and will continue to intensify the longer you remain in the dungeon. However, there's no reward without risks, and the magic is all too prepared to reward you for your efforts. You'd better put your dodging face on!
How to Play
Dungeon Dodge is a 2D arcade-style game about a hero trying to dodge fire magic using the keyboard.
Controls
- W - Jump
- A - Move Left
- D - Move Right
- F - Use Key
The goal is to endure the dungeon's fire magic to earn rewards. The hero may be equipped to handle danger, but this magic is potent and will strike the hero down on contact. Your run will last as long as the hero lasts. If you take a direct hit from the fire, you'll be eliminated and have to start your run again.
When you begin, the hero will be placed at the center of the dungeon chamber. From there, the hero can move left and right between the walls. Over time, the dungeon will start to rain fireballs down from above. The hero can move through the fireball trails, but direct contact with their bodies will kill them. As the fireballs rain down, they will also produce coins that the hero can collect. However, the coins will disappear after a few seconds if not reached in time. They may also drop chests, which need keys to be opened. After completing a run, you can return to the village to spend coins on building and improving buildings that will give you additional benefits for future runs. You can also spend them on the slot machine to recruit new heroes to your cause.
Tips and Tricks
This is a simple arcade game that intensifies over time, and you have no choice but to increase your dodging efforts. The longer you last, the more coins and chests will fall, giving you an incentive to keep going. Don't be drawn in by every coin you see, as they can easily pull you into danger; focus on surviving and earning greater riches.
