Growing up, there's a chance you heard about Backgammon and just wrote it off as another intense intellectual board game like chess. As you get older, your mind may crave more stimulation and greater challenge which is where Backgammon thrives. Although it's only played between two players, the game can last a long time depending on moves and chance. Clear your board sounds easy in theory, but an arduous task in practice.
About Backgammon Narde Online
Backgammon is not an easy game to get into and will certainly take you a few rounds just to get the bear basics. This game can throw you right into the deep end with early players and does its best to recreate the board and experience accurately. All the information and details are clear with the moves being easy to follow, sort of like Checkers. You'll need to start considering strategies from the very start based on how the dice treat you. Similar to Chess, you have to think several moves ahead and hope that the numbers are on your side.
How to Play
Backgammon Narde Online is a 2D top-down version of the classic board game that you can play using only the mouse. To roll the dice and move checkers, just move the cursor over to them and then click on them with the Left Mouse Button. The goal of the game is to bear off all of your checkers before your opponent does. It's about moving your pieces quickly while trying to slow down the others.
The board is divided into two sections: The left board is the Outer Board and the right board is the Home Board. Your specific home area is whatever side of the board you're on. You need to move all of your checkers from the outer board to the home board and then fully off the board (bearing off). To move pieces, you roll the dice. Depending on what numbers come up, you can move two checkers or one (eg. You roll a 3-1, so you can move checker 3 spaces and another 1 space, or move one checker 4 spaces). If you roll doubles, you can make multiple sets of four moves based on the number that came up.
When a checker is on your home board, the dice correspond to their point position (six to one starting from the left side) meaning that if you roll a 6-2, you bear off one checker in the sixth and another in the second position. If there are no checkers in that position, you can take one from the next descending position. Each player is always moving their pieces clockwise around the board.
If you move your checker onto a point that has an opponent's checker that isn't covered by another, that checker is hit and moves to the center of the board. When this happens, the dice rolls need to produce an open position that the checker can move to so it can re-enter the rotation.
If you are playing with Narde rules, all checkers of each color are positioned on the side and need to make their way all around the board to the position on the opposite side. You also can't hit opposing checkers, but you can block them from moving by filling positions. However, it's against the rules to make it so a player can't move any of their checkers.
Tips and Tricks
This board game looks and sounds intimidating for a reason, but there's no rush to achieve victory. A lot of your decisions are at the will of the dice, but it's how you use the numbers that come up that determines victory. Before you roll, carefully consider what most needs moving as well as the progress of your opponent.
