Arkanoid Bricks
The old games had you doing a lot of simple tasks and among those tasks was the breaking of bricks and that's why we return to Arkanoid Bricks. You could be in space or another dimension, but what is certain is that bricks are standing in the way. You've got control of a highly advanced futuristic paddle that can bounce balls of energy into these bricks and destroy them. With all their differing properties, the bricks can work for you or against you, but what's more important is that you need to keep the ball of energy in play or all is lost.
About Arkanoid Bricks
Brick breaking has been a kind of game since the Atari days and designers have done what they can to add more flair to the idea. This game has focused mainly on the kinds of bricks that you can break since there are so many of them. Since you're trying to break them all, you'll find out their effects sooner or later but that's not the challenge. What you need to consider is how you can break the bricks in such a way that they'll take each other out so that you don't have to worry about bouncing the ball too much.
How to Play
Arkanoid Bricks is a 2D arcade game about bouncing energy balls into bricks to destroy them using the mouse. To move the paddle back and forth, move the cursor to the screen, hold the Left Mouse Button, and then drag horizontally. The goal is to break all of the bricks on every level. The number of bricks will change as will their typing as you progress. If you fail to bounce back the energy ball, you'll need to retry.
When you begin, the bricks will be arranged in random formations at the center and toward the top of the screen. The ball will launch from a point between the bricks and the paddle. The ball will bounce off the paddle, bricks, and sides of the screen based on the angle at which it hits. Each of the bricks can take anywhere from one to several hits will the ball to be destroyed. However, some bricks can destroy other bricks when targeted. Power-ups will also appear that can change the paddle in various ways from making it larger to giving it laser guns. The ball can also be affected to make it more destructive or easier to bounce back.
Tips and Tricks
The secret to any brick-breaking game is to get the ball into a spot where it can do the most damage. If you can send the ball above the bricks so that it bounces between them and the top of the screen, that's effective. You can also take advantage of arrangements to have the ball bounce between bricks as it tries to get away from them.
