When Namco appeared, they changed the game by releasing the game that is Pac-Man and it's still played today and appears in forms such as Paco Paco. The model is solid and challenging so it makes sense to recreate it in new ways. You can change the character and the rest of the visuals to tell a different story and come up with different difficulties. We don't know who Paco Paco is or what it truly wants, but it has a goal and we need to help it reach that goal. It won't be easy, but then again, have you ever played Pac-Man classic?
About Paco Paco
Some games you can look at for only a few seconds and get the entire idea and maybe even know how to play without touching the controls. This is one of those games and you need to prepare for it. Though it has some familiar mechanics and gameplay, some of the rules have been twisted to make for a different kind of test. Paco Paco is hungry but those ghosts are not going to make it easy for him to feed. They'll be moving around and guarding all the tasty pellets with their ethereal bodies so you need to be swift and make your escape.
How to Play
Paco Paco is a 3D top-down Pac-Man-style game about a hungry sphere trying to eat and escape using the keyboard.
Controls
- W/Up Arrow - Move Up
- S/Down Arrow - Move Down
- A/Left Arrow - Move Left
- D/Right Arrow - Move Right
The goal is to eat enough pellets for the hatch to open so that you can escape. Paco Paco's lives are shown as hearts in the top left corner. If it loses all of its hearts, the adventure ends and you have to start over. All your points are shown at the bottom of the screen.
When you begin, Paco Paco will appear in a safe space on the level. Each level is a maze of blocks that you need to navigate between. While exploring, ghosts will fly around and look for Paco Paco. The ghosts will take a life should they come into contact with it. As you progress through the levels, more and more ghosts will appear. Paco Paco simply needs to approach pellets to eat them and once it's eaten enough, the exit hatch will appear. Guide Paco Paco safely to the open hatch to complete the level.
Tips and Tricks
Since the ghosts are the main danger, you need to observe them. Each ghost that gets added will behave slightly differently, but it's possible to find the pattern. Watch them closely to see how they move around and interact with each other. There are dead-end areas that are the most dangerous, so pick windows for when the ghosts are as far as they can be from them.
