Tennis
Sometimes no one is for tennis because it's a very exhausting and intense sport that requires a lot of concentration, but Tennis isn't like that. This is a small tournament that seems to be occurring between the same two players every single time. It's unknown if it's competitive or if it's just a prolonged practice match. What is important is that you're trying to show that you can keep your eye on the ball and that nothing will get past you. Your opponent is locked onto the ball and you need to be the same otherwise the volley will end and it's back to the ball machine.
About Tennis
You could argue that Tennis is one of the easiest games to understand and that's probably why so many games use it in one way or another. This game uses it in one of the most basic forms while still being tennis. It's both a test of patience and focus because it will get extremely competitive extremely fast. Can you maintain your intensity and engagement with the match to keep it going to reach for a new high? Your concentration may slip which will send you back to square one, but hey, that's tennis for you. Just don't make a racket if you lose.
How to Play
Tennis is a 2D sports game about playing a prolonged tennis match against one opponent with the mouse or keyboard. To move your players, hold the Left Mouse Button and drag the cursor left/right or use the A/S keys. Your tennis player will automatically hit the ball back over the net when they're in range. The goal is to keep hitting the ball back to your opponent to keep the volley going for as long as possible. Whenever the ball makes it past your player, the volley will end and you'll have to start over from zero.
You don't get a lot of options in terms of cosmetics and game elements, you just have the court and your lone opponent to hold your attention. When you start playing, your opponent will serve the ball and you'll need to move into position to receive it. As long as the ball is going toward your racket, you'll be able to hit it back. The opponent will always be ready to receive the ball so you'll be moving to respond. If you miss the ball, the game ends and you're left with the maximum number of volleys you were able to reach.
Tips and Tricks
This is all about trying to reach a new personal best and there's no pressure to win. There are no points or scores to compare, so you can just focus on the volley. Always aim to have your racket as close to the ball as possible to guarantee a hit.
