If you've ever seen a tennis game you'll know just how quiet they are because of the intense concentration, but Tennis Mobile takes itself much less seriously. This is a tennis tournament where all the competitors are big-headed ragdolls wearing whatever they think looks stylish and occasionally will come up with something that resembles an outfit. You can choose one of them to represent you before entering the tennis tournament. When the game starts, it's on you to continue the volley to keep the game alive and try to trick your opponent. It may be goofier this time around, but it still requires a good amount of focus.
About Tennis Mobile
Tennis is the grown-up version of Ping Pong where all you're doing is trying to hit a ball over a net to a player on the other side. This game has achieved that easily but with a lighter look. The reality of tennis is extremely draining and challenging which is why it's nice to have a toned-down alternative for those who want to experience tennis in a more manageable form. The simple act of throwing or hitting something and having it come back so you can repeat it is a calming activity. While tennis may not have the same feeling, this game does.
How to Play
Tennis Mobile is a 3D tennis game that is played using swipe controls that can be mimicked with the mouse. Your player will automatically move into position to receive the ball. To serve and hit the ball, you click and hold the Left Mouse Button and then drag it in the direction you want to hit it. For serves, you'll have a power meter to time your shot with for soft and strong serves. The goal is to win the tennis tournament by winning a certain number of matches.
On the main menu, you can click the player icon in the top left corner to choose your avatar. Once selected, swipe to enter the tournament. You'll start with the ball and the first serve. You'll hit the ball to your opponent and they'll hit it back to you expecting a volley. A white circle will appear under your avatar when the ball is in range to hit. If either you or the opponent fails to receive the ball, the opposing side will receive a point. The first to three points wins the match. You need to win three matches in a row to win the tournament and this will give you a chance to win diamonds by hitting targets with the ball. If you lose a match, you'll need to challenge the opponent again.
You can check your game progress by clicking on the tabs at the top of the main menu screen. This will list all the achievements you can unlock by playing. Completing them will earn you additional diamonds that you can spend on unlocking new avatars.
Tips and Tricks
Your avatar is mobile by your opponent is resilient meaning that you'll need to keep your composure for a long volley. Wait until the ball gets right in front of your avatar before you swing otherwise, you'll risk overshooting and hitting the ball out of bounds.
