Spooky Tripeaks
There are so many card games that we don't even know about and new takes on well-established ones like Spooky Tripeaks. This is a different version of the classic game Solitaire but with a spooky theme and some additional bells and whistles. You're a player who has gotten their hands on some cute cards depicting classic horror monsters and you need to get them all sorted. You've got some time to do so, but you never know what you're going to get and you need to be able to react fast when something unexpected comes up. There's nothing spookier than spooky cards with no place to haunt except yours.
About Spooky Tripeaks
Solitaire has been recreated in various forms and sometimes the only thing that's changed is the theme. This game keeps true to the core of it but adds some new elements to make it more fun and generous. You're given random cards to sort both in the play space and in your hand so it comes down to how you're going to use them. You need to rush a little bit otherwise you may be disappointed with your results, but you still have a lot of options to work with and come out on top. The cards can help you as much as work against you, you just need to make the best of what you've got.
How to Play
Spooky Tripeaks is a 2D solitaire-like game where you're given tons of spooky cards and you need to sort them using the mouse. To interact with cards and the game UI, move the cursor over to them and click the Left Mouse Button. The goal of the game is to clear all the cards on the screen as fast as you can. A timer on the right side of the screen will slowly tick away and the more it ticks, the lower your possible score. The faster you clear the screen, the higher your score and the more coins you get.
When you start, you can go to the level select screen and choose any unlocked level with more unlocking as you complete them. Each level will start you off with a random assortment of cards in the middle of the screen. Some will be face up and these are the ones that you can interact with and more cards will be revealed as others are removed. To remove cards from the screen, they need to go one up or one down from the value of the card at the bottom of the screen. If you get stuck, you can click your deck at the bottom to draw a new card, but you only have a limited number. Once all the cards are cleared, you'll beat the level.
There are also special cards that can help you if you get stuck. They depict actions that can do things like remove a whole batch of cards or reveal unflipped ones. You can also use Joker cards upon which any card can be placed.
Tips and Tricks
The first thing is that you can't let the timer distract you and you should take comfort in the fact that it moves quite slowly. A lot of the game comes down to chance and you need to hope for good sequences to pop up onscreen and in your deck. Always see how much you can do before resorting to power-ups.
