If you never thought about riding a skateboard, then you probably share that quality with a large part of the world, but we can still appreciate the spectacle of Skateboard Challenge. This is a different perspective on skateboarding that isn't about riding and shredding all over a large skatepark which is a challenge all on its own, but this is different. You find yourself teaming up with some skateboard kids who just want to have a smooth and cool ride on their boards. However, you need to keep them safe from all the obstacles and dangers they'll encounter while trying to look cool.

The idea of a challenge is a constructed event that tests something about a person and looks like almost anything. This game makes it look like a platforming and runner game, but you're on a skateboard. Despite this being a skateboard game, the general vibe is quite mellow and the cartoon visuals remove any tension. Even should you crash, it won't slow you down too much since the levels are short enough to pick yourself right back up. As long as your reaction time is solid, you won't have much difficulty in mastering this skateboard so you can take on bigger challenges.
How to Play
Skateboard Challenge is a 2D skateboarding platform game where you control a skateboarder along a course using just the keyboard. The skateboarder will automatically ride, grind, and jump off ramps. To make the skateboarder jump on command, just press the Spacebar and they will jump in a large arc. The goal is to reach the end of the level while grabbing as many of the collectibles as possible. The skateboarder is sensitive and should they hit any obstacle, they'll fall off the skateboard and you'll need to retry the level.
From the menu, you can choose any unlocked levels and skateboarders. The levels will unlock as you complete them, but skateboarders are unlocked with collected coins. When you select a level, your skateboarder will start riding from left to right. They can collect coins, the letters for SKATE, and the letters for COMBO to get a higher score at the end. You can jump to avoid obstacles like traffic coins and land on top of rails to grind along them. Power-ups like magnets can also be found to help you with riding and collecting things.
Tips and Tricks
All you need to worry about is when to jump. Dangers that are coming up can be indicated by coins arranged in certain patterns. As long as you pay attention to the road and don't jump haphazardly, you'll have no problems reaching the end safely.
