Procedural Racing
The term "racing" implies a competition of speed against one or more competitors, but you can also be racing yourself such as in Procedural Racing. In another dimension, you've gotten your hands on a jeep or perhaps a truck and have found yourself in a seemingly endless tunnel. One end draws you toward it which means that you've got to drive for it since it beats just sitting in place. You'll drive along this tunnel and realize that physics don't work the same as they do back home and there are also a lot more obstacles on the road than you'd expect. Still, it's just you and tunnel.
About Procedural Racing
It's possible that the Endless Runner started with a character that was running but it has grown to include all kinds of endless journeys. At least in this game, you've got a car to save you energy and protect you somewhat from the surfaces of the tunnel. Still, it's your only car and you've got to take care of it. Nobody knows how long this tunnel goes and there's a good chance that you'll never find out for yourself. You can make the best of a bad situation by giving it all you've got and driving to the light at the end of the tunnel.
How to Play
Procedural Racing is a 3D endless runner where you're driving a car down a long tunnel using the keyboard. Since the car will accelerate on its own you just need to worry about steering it left or right using the A/Left Arrow and D/Right Arrow keys respectively. The goal is to drive as far as you can while going through as many blue arches as possible.
Upon starting a run, the tunnel will begin randomly generating in front of you as the car drops in and starts accelerating. It will stretch out before you with arches appearing all around its surfaces. This means that the car can freely drive up and along all the sides of the tunnel with the camera adjusting to match the new perspective. You'll earn a point for each arch you drive through, but the car will be destroyed if you hit the arch itself.
In addition to the arches, the tunnel will also be littered with rows of spikes. The rows aren't long but they can spawn in various arrangements either far away or grouped. If you hit any spikes, this will destroy the car and you'll need to start the run again.
Tips and Tricks
Due to the procedural generation, there's a fair amount of luck that goes into your run since you may be dropped on top of some spikes. The best you can do is try not to go after every arch since the car turns very gradually and you may not be left with enough time to readjust if danger comes your way.
