PolyRoll
There was a time when polygons were the cutting edge of gaming graphics and many folks still sttry to recapture that magic, but PolyRoll is a different take. Polygons may just be shapes but when you arrange them in just the right way, they can be almost anything. They can be towering monuments or tiny creatures or combine to make something even more complex. The thing is that depending on how you're viewing polygons, they can take on so many different forms. It's on you to look through the collection of polygons and see what they're coming together to create so that you can behold the true form.
About PolyRoll
The thing about polygons is that due to their simplicity, we like to think that we can see everything just at a glance. This game shows just what can be done with a certain kind of polygon arranged in different ways and shown at different angles. Polygons may look flat but they still occupy 3D space and if we forget that, then we won't be able to pick up on all the differences and colors that they can wield. It's all about changing our perspective so that we can appreciate all the pieces as well as the big picture. You've gotta roll with the polygons.
How to Play
PiolyRoll is a 3D puzzle game about looking at polygons in a new way and seeing their images using the mouse. To rotate the polygonal image, click and hold the Left Mouse Button then move the cursor around. The goal is to identify the polygonal image based on the icon selected beforehand. You'll need to find the right perspective otherwise you'll be stuck in polygonal limbo trying to see through the shapes. Once you have the image in clear view, you can move on.
When the game starts, you'll be given a selection of images that cover all a manner of beings. They include normal animals like foxes to fantastical animals like unicorns. After you pick one by clicking on it, you'll be taken to a blank space with the collection of polygons floating at the center. You need to rotate the collection until the perspective reveals it to be the creature that you've selected. The image can appear upside or backwards as long as it's the complete image shown on the icon. After that, you can try out another one.
Tips and Tricks
This is all about the visuals and there's not much to it other than looking. It's also about perspective and moving the collection of polygons until the pieces start to fit. Try to work by closing the gaps and see if that helps make the image clearer little by little.

FAQs
How do you beat PolyRoll?
This is more of an activity than a game and you're not trying to complete levels or earn a high score, you're just trying to see if you can make out the image.
Will more images be added to PolyRoll?
It's unknown if the creator has continued with games like these or has moved onto other things, but it seems unlikely that more images will be added to the collection.
