Pixel on Titan
Attack On Titan is a pretty popular series if you weren't aware and may be finally coming to an end, but you can experience it again in Pixel On Titan. While the design can make it difficult to determine which character you're playing, you can also just assume that you're playing as a new titan hunter. You're in a part of the city that doesn't seem to have too many hunters around but there are plenty of citizens to protect and titans to kill. Use your speed and aerial combat skills to do your best to make this part of the city safe… temporarily.
About Pixel On Titan
Based on what's seen in the show, the way titan hunters move rivals that of Spiderman, and many of us would like to give it a shot. This game distills it down to a simpler but still exciting pixel adventure. While the show may waste time on things that aren't action, this game is all about the action. From the start, you'll be expected to fill the role of an effective hunter who can take out multiple titans on their own. There may be a learning curve but once you get used to it, you'll be slaying it down hard.
How to Play
Pixel On Titan is a 2D action game about hunting down titans using the mouse and keyboard.
Controls
- Cursor - Aim Cable
- Left Mouse Button - Fire Cable/Jump
- A - Run Left
- D - Run Right
- F - Slash
The game is broken up into levels and the goal of each one is to slay all of the titans while saving as many citizens as possible to get the high score. With every titan you slay, you collect titan souls that can be used to purchase upgrades on the level-select screen. These upgrades can improve your health, attack power, jump energy, and recovery with the price starting at 50 souls. If the hunter dies or all the citizens are killed, you'll need to restart the level.
Each level starts with the hunter in the center of the area with the citizens wandering around randomly and titans appearing from the left or right sides. To attack the titans, you need to approach them and fire a cable to send yourself flying towards their heads. A direct slash to a titan's head is the only way to damage it with its health bar appearing above its head when hit. When it drops to zero, the titan will die and you'll receive souls. Titans will vary in strength and power determined by their size and appearance.
The number of titans and citizens in each level is shown in the top right corner of the screen. If a titan gets in range of a citizen, it will attack them and kill them instantly if the attack hits. Citizens will wander all over so all you can do is attack titans before they get too close. The more citizens that are alive at the end, the more stars you'll earn for the level.
Tips and Tricks
You need to manage your jump energy since it's not only the only way you hit the titans, but it's also the quickest way to get around. Quickly determine which side has titans that are closer and focus on them. For quick solutions, you can hit titans to knock them back a bit or bait them into attacking you so that they lose focus. When it comes to jumping, always aim your cables above where you're aiming to go. If one level is too hard, grind previous levels to collect more souls.
