Pinball may be one of the earliest examples of an arcade game before the arrival of video games and we try to keep it alive in digital forms like Pinball Brick Mania. Even though the average pinball machine looks like a board was dropped in a random theme, the rules of it are pretty simple: Hit the ball, get points. This version is a little different as while the original pinball could yield high points by flailing wildly, this one is more strategic. Your balls are launched from the top down and you need to use them to hit very specific targets. If not, then the targets will end your play session.
About Pinball Brick Mania
Pinball is already easy to grasp with the idea of hitting things on a board with balls and flippers so it's easy to combine it with something else. This game combines Pinball with elements of Breakout and Space Invaders. Although it's not nearly as exciting as fighting off an alien invasion, there is some challenge to be found. It's all about launching the balls in such a way that they hit multiple targets and trying to gain more balls on the way down. It's less about trying to get the most points and more about trying to be the most efficient player.
How to Play
Pinball Brick Mania is a 2D top-down pinball game where you're trying to break targets on a board using the mouse. To aim your pinballs, hold the Left Mouse Button and drag the cursor to the left or the right. When you're ready to launch, simply release the Left Mouse Button. The goal is to destroy all the targets that will be coming from the bottom screen and moving up. If the targets reach your pinball location, you'll need to retry from the beginning.
When the game starts, you'll only have one ball and a few targets on the field. The targets act as solid objects and can be in various shapes. The number of hits that need to be removed is indicated by a number in their center. There are also small white balls with plus symbols that when hit will add another ball to your arsenal. When the balls reach the bottom of the screen, they'll automatically be scooped up and put back in the aiming slot. When you fire, all of your balls will fire together and can bounce off different targets, but not each other. You can keep going as long as you can stop the targets from reaching you.
Tips and Tricks
The targets will only move after every launch of the balls, so you have time to plan your shots and strategy. You can use the shape of the different targets to your advantage to get new angles. As time goes on, you're going to need to use shots to gather as many balls as you can.
