One Odd Out
We all like to think that we're sharp in one way or another, that we can notice things that seem out of the ordinary, but then One Odd Out challenges that. How skilled are you at picking someone out of a crowd? When you're shown two pictures, can you point out all of the differences? Both the big ones and the small ones? How often have you found Waldo (or Wally)? This is what you'll be doing with all the different objects that will be gathered together and thrust into your face. You'll need to look and examine fast to see that "one of these things is not like the other".
About One Odd Out
Spot the differences is a common ask for all sorts of puzzles and you could argue that it's a necessary skill for detective work. While this game doesn't have you playing as a detective, it does challenge you to detect what's wrong with everything. It seems simple at first considering what the objects look like, but this can lull you into a false sense of confidence. You'll find yourself doing double-takes more often the further and further you get. All the while, the time will be ticking away and urge you to scan things faster. You'll see just how good you are at spotting something slightly out of order.
How to Play
One Odd Out is a 2D puzzle game about finding the odd one out in a sea of the same object using only the mouse. To select the object that you think is different, move the cursor over to it and click the left mouse button. The goal is to find the one object that is different from all the other objects on the screen. The timer will be ticking down in the top right corner of the screen and when it hits zero, the game will end.
When you start, you'll be shown a collection of objects arranged in either a square or rectangle. They will always feature the same object with each one rotated in a different position. As you progress through more and more groups, they'll get bigger and bigger by adding more and more objects. The object that will be the odd one out will be a different color from the rest. Sometimes the different colors will be very noticeable and other times will be quite subtle. With every odd object found, the timer will be delayed slightly. Keep the streak going for as long as you can.
Tips and Tricks
This is a simple game with not a lot of complex things to keep track of, but it can still provide a challenge. There are multiple ways to approach this kind of puzzle, but it depends a lot on your vision. Do your best to look at all of the objects at once and that will help the odd one stand out more.
