Heart Calcopus
The scary and fascinating truth is that octopi are among the most intelligent creatures on Earth and they're watching us or worrying about numbers like in Heart Calcopus. You are in the watery realm of a smart octopus who wants nothing more than to share a love of numbers with you. You need to impress the octopus by showing a base mastery of numbers and being able to do calculations as quickly as possible. They won't be overly complex, but they'll still test your general math knowledge and whether you can reach solutions quickly and pop all those number bubbles.
About Heart Calcopus
If you're going to spend time with octopi, just know that they can be playful as well as showcase their intelligence. This game has you learning about numbers with an octopus, but maybe there's more going on. This octopus definitely knows all the answers and wants to see if you'll arrive at the same answer. It's testing you to see if you can remember all that homework you did as a student. There's a reason why numbers are fundamental and you need to hold onto them for a variety of reasons. Being able to make this octopus happy is just another one.
How to Play
Heart Calcopus is a 2D puzzle game about numbers and playing with a smart octopus by using the mouse. To choose an answer, move the cursor over to it and click the Left Mouse Button. The goal is to get as many correct answers as possible. The timer will be shown in the top left corner of the room while your tries are shown as hearts in the top right corner of the room. Once the timer or your tries run out, the game ends.
When the game begins, the octopus will float in the center of the screen. Around it will be bubbles that contain various equations. Your prompt will be something like "Find the lowest value." This means that you'll need to do calculations so that you can find the equation with the lowest answer. If you get the right answer, the octopus will pop the bubble. If you get it wrong, you'll need to try again and you'll lose a heart. After you run out of time or tries, you'll be scored based on how many correct answers you got.
Tips and Tricks
Math games have a purpose to teach and refresh people about math in a hopefully colorful and fun way. This is a relatively simple numbers game, but the amount of functions happening in each equation can make things tricky. If you can't do math in your head, have a pen and paper or a calculator nearby.
