Gun Builder
Guns appear in so many types of media but the average person won't get many if any opportunities to hold one and that's why Gun Builder fills that hole. Contrary to popular belief and how they're depicted in so many movies and games, guns are extremely complex machines. Even the smallest guns have so many bits and pieces working together just to make sure that they work normally. Here you can gain some insight into what it's like to put a gun together and then reap the rewards of getting to see it in action. From pistols to machine guns, they all started as a pile of pieces.
About Gun Builder
Sometimes a game can be described more as a task or an activity to do while you wait or to maybe answer some questions. This game answers a question right off the bat in that guns need to be built or assembled. You can see that all the guns are broken into several main components that need to be combined so that they can function properly. There are outlines to help you out, but based on their appearance, you can probably figure out where things need to go and why. Following that, you'll get to more action-packed parts using the game and seeing what your efforts have reaped.
How to Play
Gun Builder is a 2D building game about building different kinds of guns and then testing them out with the mouse or keyboard. To move pieces, move the cursor over to the categories on the left side of the screen, click on the one you want with the Left Mouse Button, and then do the same with the piece you want, but hold the button and drag it into place. To use the built gun, click and drag it and click to shoot it. The WASD and Arrow Keys can also be used to fire the guns. The goal is to build working model guns and then use them to shoot targets.
When the game starts, you're given a gun model to assemble with an outline to follow. The gun parts will be available from the categories on the left side of the screen. As you build more guns, you'll unlock more parts to use. When a gun is complete, you'll need to use it to take out bright red and white targets that will appear on the sides of the screen. Each target takes multiple hits to destroy and the gun's clip capacity will be tracked behind the gun. When all the targets are destroyed, you can move on to building the next gun.
Tips and Tricks
You can look at this as a puzzle with all the pieces being different parts of a gun. It's generous with how exactly the pieces need to be placed as the outline will draw them in. Take your time and you'll have no problems.
