About Gelatino
Ice cream and other similar sweet treats have appeared in games as various items for healing and power-ups. This game has a popsicle as a hero who simply wants to survive and share its sweetness with the world. It's a hard life on the road for a popsicle, and you'll quickly come to see why. Aside from being delicious enough to attract all sorts of attackers, time will constantly be against you. Unfortunately, room temperature is sufficient to wear you down; the actual test of astonishing survival is to consistently avoid the heat while moving to stay calm and keep moving.
How to Play
Gelatino is a 2D arcade game about a flying popsicle stick traveling along a road and avoiding the heat using the mouse. To move the popsicle, move the cursor over, hold down the Left Mouse Button, and drag the cursor around. The popsicle will gradually follow the cursor's movement and automatically interact with anything it touches. The goal is to travel along the road and keep the popsicle cool as long as possible. If the popsicle completely melts, your run will end.
The main menu will throw you right into the game whenever you're ready to begin. The popsicle will start flying down the road and gradually melt over time. To restore the popsicle to pristine condition, you must collect piles of ice cubes that will appear along the route. However, there will also be balls of heat that look like angry suns bouncing around as you keep flying. Hitting any of these balls will cause a massive amount of melting to the popsicle. Keep flying until you melt, and see how far you've made your journey.
Tips and Tricks
The popsicle moves smoothly but is somewhat delayed, so you must get a better feel for its speed to avoid upcoming dangers. Going off the road is dangerous because obstacles like rocks and cacti can damage the popsicle. Staying in the center gives you more options as you keep moving forward.
