Tennis Mania
Tennis is a sport that has a certain tone surrounding it and can be very intense, but Tennis Mania is not serious at all. It is about tennis but doesn't come close to capturing just how harsh and exhausting the sport can be. That's okay though because boiled down, tennis is just about hitting a ball back and forth between two players. That sounds like it could be a fun and light experience which is what is happening here. Don't play this game expecting to learn some serious skills about tennis, because this is where you come for a light-hearted tennis-like activity.
About Tennis Mania
You could say that Pong is the earliest example of a tennis-like game and it was one of the first to be played. This game is a little more advanced than Pong but it is essentially the same thing. You're one player with a racket that is hitting the ball to another player with a racket. You need to be ready to meet the ball wherever it's going to land and then return it with power and precision. Your opponent will be doing the same so you need to be fast to react and hit with just the right strike to keep the ball in play and the game going.
How to Play
Tennis Mania is a 3D sports game where you're playing a version of tennis using only the mouse. Your player will automatically move to the general area where the ball will land and you need to hold and swipe the Left Mouse Button to hit it back over the net. The score will be shown on a screen in the background. The goal is to be the first player to reach three points wins and if you lose, you can always have a rematch.
Before you start playing, you can choose your tennis player. You'll have a few options at the start but can unlock more with crystals that you get from playing games. Once you have your player, you can swipe up on the title to start playing. Either you or the opponent will start with the ball to serve. When you serve, you can determine the power of your serve based on the meter. When the ball travels to your side of the court, you can choose to hit it in the direction that you swipe the mouse. If the ball isn't received or is hit out of the court, the opposing player gets the point.
Tips and Tricks
This is simplified tennis which is mostly about timing and aiming. While your player is generally responsive, the opposing player can be caught off guard. As long as you're hitting a ball into the open part of the court, they will eventually miss the receive.
