DashCraft .io
What's weird about car designs is how much value is put on speed when most people will never get the opportunity to drive as fast as possible which is why we turn to titles like Dashcraft io. This is the digital world where there are no consequences to picking a car and driving it as fast and recklessly as possible. You're not the only one seeking to sate their drive to drive with the pedal to the metal. It challenges both your speed and control with racing being the obvious choice of competition when it comes to cars, but the tracks have a lot of surprises.
About Dashcraft io
Racing and car games can be fun and relaxing when played on your own, but they can be more exciting when playing with others. This is why this game works very well as an io game that allows people from all over to jump into a quick race. It almost feels like the days when you would get together with friends to play with toy cars. This is because the game draws a lot on the player's imagination when it comes to the cars and the tracks. The control can take some time to get used to but it just reaffirms that driving is more complex than it appears.
How to Play
Dashcraft io is a 3D racing game with wild tracks that can be controlled with the keyboard. The mouse is reserved for navigating the UI.
Controls
- W/Up Arrow - Accelerate
- S/Spacebar/Down Arrow - Brake/Reverse
- A/Left Arrow - Turn Left
- D/Right Arrow - Turn Right
- R - Restart
- Backspace - Restart from the Beginning
As a car game, there are multiple objectives that you can give yourself, but a common one is to go as fast as possible. The current game modes involve racing against other players to be the first across the finish line or to complete a track in a faster time. You can also select the Drive option in order to practice driving in an open area with a variety of structures. The multiplayer mode is still being developed so the Free-for-All option is not fully functional and requires at least three players to work.
A big part of this game is customization. In the Lobby, the bottom right corner of the menu options lets you change the Cars and the Tracks (marked by build). To keep things balanced, all cars have the same stats but you can alter their appearance a bit to suit your liking. The Build option allows you to build your own tracks in a number of ways. They can be twisting race tracks or extreme stunt tracks which you can then submit to pool to be driven by other players.
Tips and Tricks
This car game puts everyone on equal footing by giving them access to the same cars which is why you should use the Drive mode to practice your skills. When you do want to test things out, you can jump into any of the available modes. If you're not happy with how your drive is going, you can always try again another time.
