Craft Drill
Craft Drill is a mining game where you control several large devices designed to dig deep into the earth. You're attempting to build a business by harvesting the valuable metals and minerals that you find inside the rock. The issue is that the more valuable stones are hidden deeper in the ground, but your starting equipment is barely strong enough to break through. You won't be able to see much profit at the start since it must go to investing in your equipment and your processes to continue to dig deeper and collect even more valuable treasures. The more sites you dig through, the more you'll find.
About Craft Drill
This is a mining title where you control several machines: Two active, and one passive. The mining is done by the drill, which consists of a rotating core with long appendages attached to it. Despite the title, this is more akin to a digger than a drill, and the upgrades come in the form of the materials that the appendages are made of and their attachments. You'll control the drill to break apart different rock sections and then use the vacuum to keep things clean. The conveyor and the truck will handle processing so you can focus on digging deeper.
How to Play
Craft Drill is a 2D mining game in which you drill down into the earth using your custom drill and the keyboard.
Controls
- W/Up Arrow - Move Up
- S/Down Arrow - Move Down
- A/Left Arrow - Move Left
- D/Right Arrow - Move Right
The goal is to keep digging and collecting any valuable rocks and minerals. You can keep digging if you have rope to extend and space in your truck to collect. The game ends whenever you want to stop drilling for a bit.
The main menu serves as a hub for your operations where you can track your progress in the current shaft on the left side. The right side allows you to buy upgrades for your drive to make it more powerful and improve other aspects, such as the truck's capacity and the length of rope. You must control the drill as it slowly spins and carves through the earth. By moving it around the shaft, you can target specific mineral deposits that will reveal valuable metals like iron and gold. You can also switch to the vacuum to suck up the loose pieces and place them on the conveyor belt. They'll be carried up to the truck, which will ship out when it's full, and pause the conveyor belt until it returns. Once you've reached the bottom of the shaft, you can go to the level select to pick another area to start drilling through.
Tips and Tricks
This is a passive game where you start by literally chipping away at the dirt and rocks. Your drill will start off very weak and should be what you pour most of your money into at the start. The more reach and strength it has, the easier it will be to drill through, and you can always collect any loose minerals later.
