Boing Bang
When a weird little creature gets a blaster, you never know what they're going to do with it or why they might need it, but then there's Boing Bang. No one knows what this creature is or where it got that blaster, but it has one anyway, and it's going to use it. Whether it's simply defending itself or being on the offensive is up to you to decide, but those bouncing balls are just going to keep coming. All you can do is help the creature to hold them off so that whatever space it's in is relatively safer than before.
About Boing Bang
Many blaster games have you in a ship firing at things coming at you, but sometimes you're just one being with a weapon. This game is in the latter category, and all you can do is keep firing in the hopes that it will solve all the problems. The main problem is that there are giant ball things bouncing around, taking up space, and crushing anything that also isn't a bouncing ball. At least they don't have blasters, so that's something you can use to your advantage. Just remember that getting in position to fire may be the most dangerous point during your mission.
How to Play
Boing Bang is a 2.5D arcade shooter game about a little creature with a blaster shooting at balls using the keyboard.
Controls
- W - Climb Ladders
- A - Move Left
- D - Move Right
- Spacebar - Fire
The goal is to eliminate all of the bouncing balls in the area. All of the level information is shown at the top of the screen, with the creature's lives and health on the left side. If the creature loses all hearts, it loses a life, and when it loses all lives, you have to start over.
You can jump right in from the first level with a creature appearing in the center at the bottom of the screen. The balls will spawn above in the air and start bouncing around. The blaster will only fire straight up where the creature is standing. When you shoot at a ball enough times, it will break into two smaller balls. Each type of ball has a different way of bouncing, and if it hits the creature, it will lose one heart. There will also be objects like breakable blocks, platforms, and ladders to navigate the area. Power-ups will also occasionally appear to affect the blaster of the balls. Keep blasting until you can blast no more.
Tips and Tricks
As mentioned before, you need to stand under the balls to hit them, which puts you in danger. Only linger as long as you have to, and always have open space to move to so you don't get trapped between two larger balls. Use the blocks and platforms as cover if you want to wait for more favorable bouncing patterns.
