Battle Maze is an odd take on battle and strategy where the placement of your units will determine the results. You're a commander leading a small and mobile force across the land. As you advance, you will encounter enemy soldiers and need to challenge them on the battlefield. You must use whatever resources you've gained from previous conquests to bring soldiers to the front line. You'll only have so many units you can deploy, so you must use the available space to place them all over before they engage the enemy. Strength is necessary, but numbers play a vital role in achieving victory.

About Battle Maze

Battling is difficult in almost any environment and layout, but fighting in a maze is extremely dangerous. You must work within a maze-like grid in this game to bring your army to life. The soldiers can position themselves effectively once they've been deployed. However, choosing which soldiers go into battle and where you place them will determine whether you advance or retreat. There will be opportunities to retry specific fighting so that you can try out different strategies, and more soldiers will join your cause. Still, you have a secret tactic that can let you strengthen your soldiers to give them a fighting chance at routing the enemy.

How to Play

Battle Maze is a 3D strategy game about funding, combining, and deploying soldiers to fight using the mouse. To interact with the gameplay and UI elements, move the cursor over them and click the Left Mouse Button. Do the same with deployed soldiers, but hold the button down and then move the cursor to drag the soldier to where you want it. Your gold will be tracked on the right side of the screen, and your soldiers determine your army strength. If all your soldiers are defeated, you'll lose the battle.

The main menu overlays the main game, which lets you start as soon as you click on it. Before the battle begins, you can deploy available units as shown on the right side as long as you have the gold to afford them. When you place two units of the same kind, they can be combined to form a stronger unit. However, only one unit can be placed on the grid to fight the enemy. The enemy will occupy a space on the maze grid, and you can put your soldier in any free space. Once you do, both units generate appropriate colors to take over the adjacent blank tiles, each representing an additional unit. Once all the tiles are filled, the units will spawn and begin fighting automatically. Slay all the enemies to collect their gold and advance to the next battle.

Tips and Tricks

The grids can vary in shape, making efficient placement difficult, but the enemy's start position will heavily influence the decision. You can place your soldier somewhere that will block a majority of the enemy's influence so that you can dominate the field. The fewer tiles you can take control of, the more influential the unit you should deploy.
