Banana Duck
What do bananas and ducks have in common? Well, I suppose they can both be depicted as being yellow and they're sharing the title of Banana Duck. It's a mystery as to why a duck would be seeking out a banana and I can't say whether a duck would eat a banana if it encountered one in the wild. But we aren't talking about just any kind of duck, we're looking at a duck that is willing to do almost anything to get their beak on a banana. That's where you come into the picture and the duck is counting on your help.
About Banana Duck
There's nothing too complex going on when you involve animals and fruits in an adventure, it's all about how it comes together. This game brings ducks and bananas together in a pretty straightforward way: There's a banana out there somewhere and the duck wants it. It is a duck though, so it has some limitations that you need to work within if you want to help it reach the banana in one piece. This involves keeping it safe and navigating all the dangers as carefully as you can. This way, they can continue to be the true banana duck with all the potassium they could ever have.
How to Play
Banana Duck is a 2D pixel platform game about a little yellow duck looking for a little yellow banana using the keyboard.
Controls
- W/Up Arrow - Jump
- A/Left Arrow - Move Left
- D/Right Arrow - Move Right
The goal is to find the banana hidden in each level. The duck has no attacks and no defenses, so any damage they take will be too much. When this happens, the duck will be sent back to the start of the level or the last checkpoint it went through.
When the game starts, you can choose which level you want to play based on those that have already been unlocked. The duck will spawn in a certain part of the level and be able to go in any direction that is open to it. While exploring, the duck can encounter dangers like spikes, saws, and enemies. It can also encounter tools like springs, keys to unlock doors, moving platforms, and boxes that can be pushed around to reach new heights. Checkpoints will be marked by white arrows and once the duck reaches the banana, the level will be complete.
Tips and Tricks
The platforming in this game is slow and contained with areas in the level separated into their arrangements. Things like keys can't be used multiple times so take a moment to explore and see the layout before using them. Also, never fall into an unknown area if you can avoid it as you may end up landing in danger.
