Alien Bubbles
Alien Bubbles presents an interstellar threat in a form that most of us wouldn't really consider a threat. Yes, we're being visited by alien invaders who don't need spaceships to fly through space because they've evolved to travel without them. By having the forms of bubbles, they can float and fly through any area safely but are looking to Earth to settle down or move the planet out of the way. However, our only hope against this floating threat is a special dinosaur that has access to special arrows and launchers explicitly made to take down bubble-shaped aliens. Looks like we'll be bursting some bubbles.
About Alien Bubbles
Popping things is fun, and whenever we have the option to do that without consequences, we have a hard time resisting the urge. This game uses that urge by giving you plenty of things to pop and save the world at the same time. To make it more fun, the hero is an arrow-firing dinosaur for some reason that's never explained. Still, this is a video game, so there doesn't need to be a reason why dinosaurs are fighting aliens. After all, dinosaurs have plenty of reason to hold a grudge against outer space, and you're helping them carry it out.
How to Play
Alien Bubbles is a 2D arcade game about popping bubbles that are also invading aliens using the keyboard.
Controls
- A/Left Arrow - Aim Launcher Left
- D/Right Arrow - Aim Launcher Right
- Spacebar - Launch Arrow
- C - Change Arrow Color
- V - Change Power-Up
The goal is to pop all the aliens in the area and move on to the next one. You have an unlimited number of colorful arrows and limited power-ups which are tracked on the left side of the screen. Your score, multiplier, and number of enemies remaining are tracked on the right side of the screen. If the aliens reach the dinosaur's position, it's game over.
The main menu lets you start fighting the invasion quickly as it takes you to the level select where you can pick any available levels that you've unlocked by playing. The dinosaur will be positioned at the bottom next to the launcher while the aliens descend from the top. The aliens can be in random arrangements and will have several colors among them. You must hit each alien with an arrow matching their color to pop it. If you hit one with the wrong color, you'll speed up their descent. The power-ups can be used to take out groups of aliens with no consequences. Once you've eliminated all the aliens in the level, you'll win and can take on the next one.
Tips and Tricks
This is a game where you can't rush your shots because the punishment can quickly end your attempt. Arrows can bounce off the walls, but since you can control the color, you can pick away at the bottom line of the alien force and make your way through. Power-ups are effective, but save them for emergencies.
