Luckily, the adventurer can do a lot of things that many platform heroes struggle with or need to learn over time. The challenge comes from trying to figure out how to use these skills effectively. If you can figure that out, then you'll have no problem getting around. You still need to figure out where all the coins are hiding though.
How to Play
2D Platformer Coin is a 2D platform game that is about collecting all the gold coins using the keyboard.
Controls
- W/Up Arrow - Jump (Hold to Hover)
- S/Down - Dive
- A/Left Arrow - Move Left
- D/Right Arrow - Move Right
The goal is to collect all the large gold coins of which there are eight in total, tracked in the top left corner of the screen. The danger is the environment itself and should the adventurer fall to the bottom of the screen, you'll need to try the adventure from the start.
When you begin, you'll spawn in an empty place in an odd environment. There is solid ground, platforms, switches, wind currents, gravity-defying areas, and doors to find. The adventurer can quickly get around the land using his skills, but also needs to use the properties of the environment to get to new heights. There are special coins that can launch the adventurer in a set direction based on how he's moving. He can also climb most surfaces by pressing into them and then moving up or down. Once you collect all eight coins, the adventure will be completed.
Tips and Tricks
First, you should note where all the pitfalls are just so that you can avoid them and there's even a warning sign that will pop up if you get too low. Each part of the world is distinct in its arrangement and this is your clue that it's hiding a coin. Use the adventure's hovering to get around quickly and scan the area for spots you may have missed.
